Approved minutes – Annual Parish Meeting 2024

THE ANNUAL PARISH MEETING FOR BOZEAT WAS HELD AT BOZEAT TLC, DYCHURCH LANE, BOZEAT ONMONDAY, 18^th MARCH 2024 AT 7pm.

PRESENT

From Bozeat Parish Council: – Cllrs Skittrall [Chairman]; Brown; Docker; Duckles; Gibbins; Pollard; Pritchard and Steel.

Members of the public: – Cllr Tom Partridge-Underwood [North Northants Council]; Mr W. Green.

1       Apologies.

It was resolved to accept apologies for absence received from Cllrs Cooke and Foward from Bozeat Parish Council and Cllr Carr from North Northants Council.

2       Minutes of the Annual Parish Meeting for 2023.

It was noted that these were approved and signed at the meeting of Bozeat Parish Council held in April 2023.

3       Matters arising.

None were noted.

4       Town Well Trust – to accept a report from the Trustees.

1. a) Trustees – Cllr Skittrall proposed that Mr Michael Pollard be re-elected to serve a further term of office, this was seconded by Cllr Docker and agreed. Lyndis Payne has served three years of her current term of office and the Chairman of Bozeat Parish Council is an ex-officio trustee.
2. b) Finances – it was noted that Bozeat Parish Council has a designated budget for the maintenance of Town Well.
3. c) Trust – it was considered whether or not to wind up the charitable trust now that Town Well belongs to Bozeat Parish Council who funds its’ upkeep. The history of the area was discussed and it was agreed to produce a statement of facts for historical record and publish it on the website. Cllr Skittrall reported that in a recent meeting with ACRE they suggested that it might be difficult to wind up the trust and that it would be simpler to make it dormant.  Cllr Gibbins then proposed that the trust be made dormant, if possible, this was seconded by Cllr Steel and agreed.

5. Parish Council Achievements.

A list of achievements since the last Annual Parish Meeting was read out and it was agreed to add one item.

There being no further business, the Chairman declared the Annual Parish Meeting for Bozeat closed.
