BPFA Report for Bozeat Parish Council – March 2022                   APPENDIX E

With improved weather and slightly longer days activity at the Playing Field is now picking up.

A Football Team from Wellingborough have been using one of the pitches due to problems with their regular pitch and although now back in Wellingborough they are considering a move to Bozeat for next season.

MUGA use is also increasing with both Tennis and Football bookings providing a regular income which is covering all expenses.

The Charity Shop continues to do well providing useful income in support of the Playing Field.

A full professional inspection of the Playground is now programmed for early April and this will include training for our Village Warden to enable him to carry out regular checks.

We were notified recently of an incident in the MUGA that caused an injury to a young footballer and this is being looked into with the MUGA Contractor. The family has also been contacted but nothing further has been heard from them.

The Playing Field Committee have agreed on a date of Saturday 27 August to hold the annual Village Fete this year as it was considered that the Jubilee weekend was not viable due to the numerous other activities planned for this date and the short planning time available. An alternative activity is being considered with the Parish Council for this weekend
