The Development Consent Order has been submitted. It is with the Planning Inspectorate (PINS) who will verify or reject it within a month.

This requests that the matching materials condition is waived to allow the sun room to have charcoal tiles.

This proposes to convert the barn adjacent to St Mary’s Church Hall into a 5 bedroom dwelling under permitted development.

There are three concerns:

the application states that it lies within the village boundary but this is not consistent with the adopted Part 2 plan
the dwelling would be very close to St Mary’s Church Hall and it could affect the current use of the hall by creating noise or other restrictions
there are concerns about the external appearance of the proposed building within the street-scene which, from the limited drawings, looks more like an out-of-place industrial unit than a dwelling.
