A MEETING OF BOZEAT PARISH COUNCIL WILL BE HELD ON MONDAY, 21st NOVEMBER 2022, FOLLOWING PUBLIC PARTICIPATION AT 7pm. 

THIS MEETING WILL BE HELD AT TLC, DYCHURCH LANE, BOZEAT.

  1. To consider accepting apologies for absence.
  2. To record any new declarations of interest from members in items to be discussed.

 

  1. To approve the minutes from the meeting of Bozeat Parish Council held on 17th October 2022.

 

  1. Matters arising from the previous meeting/s: –
  2. Circulating documents – to note the progress of any packs that are circulating.
  3. Website migration – update on progress.
  4. Training – to agree any training courses requested by members of the council.
  5. Skate ramp – resurfacing report.
  6. Play area inspection – update on repairs.
  7. Village risk assessments – to note that the Village Warden will undertake these.
  8. Noticeboard – bird spikes – odd jobs order issued.
  9. Civility and Respect Pledge – to note that this has been added to the Policies File.

  2. Cemetery – general report.
  3. Cemetery – applications for permission to place memorials or headstones in the cemetery.
  4. Cemetery – to consider accepting a quote for the cleaning of the war memorial costing £1250.
  5. Cemetery – to receive an update on maintenance works [tree safety assessments; extension to Garden of Remembrance; repairs to railings].
  6. Cemetery – to consider the purchase of land in order to extend the cemetery.
  7. Cemetery – memorial inspections – update on the progress of inspections.
  8. Allotments – general report, including Annual Meeting of Tenants and rent collection.
  9. Allotments – to receive an update on maintenance works [replacement noticeboards; hedge planting]

 

  1. Local Environment – to receive the following reports.
  2. Highways – including parking restrictions and speed reduction near the primary school.
  3. Street Lights – to report/note any lights that are not working.
  4. Parish Paths Warden/Rights of Way.
  5. Village Warden.
  6. Village Green – update on the project to install bollards in order to prevent unauthorised parking.
  7. Village Green – to consider the provision of CCTV and two planters.
  8. BEES Group – to receive a report.
  9. New litter bin for outside the village shop – update on purchase.
  10. Planter sponsorship – to consider an invitation to sponsor village planters.
  11. St Mary’s Road verge – to consider requesting a transfer of ownership of the wide verge at the junction of St Mary’s Road and London Road.

  3. New village hall – to consider holding a separate meeting to discuss the design and prepare a business plan.

    1. Purchase of a portable PA system for use at small public events.
    2. 11th/13th November 2022 – Remembrance Day/Remembrance Sunday.
    3. 19th November 11am – Annual Meeting of Allotment Tenants at TLC.
    4. Village Events Working Party – to receive a report on the make-up of this group.
    5. 3rd December 2022 – Christmas Tree Lighting event – to consider enhancing this event.
    6. To consider organising a “Thank You” event for village volunteers.
    7. To consider organising a Meet The Village event.

 

  1. Parish Council logo – to consider updating the logo.
