THE ANNUAL MEETING OF BOZEAT PARISH COUNCIL WILL BE HELD ON MONDAY, 20th MAY 2024, IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING PUBLIC PARTICIPATION AT 7pm.  THE MEETING WILL BE HELD AT TLC, DYCHURCH LANE, BOZEAT.

  1. Election of Chairman for the coming year.
  2. To consider accepting apologies for absence.
  3. Election of Vice-Chairman for the coming year.
  4. Review of roles and responsibilities.
  5. To record any new declarations of interest from members in items to be discussed.

 

  1. To approve the minutes from the meeting of Bozeat Parish Council held on 22nd April 2024.

 

  1. Matters arising from the previous meeting/s: –
  2. Circulating documents – to note the progress of any packs that are circulating.
  3. Training – to agree any training courses requested by members of the council and receive reports on any attended.
  4. Doctor’s surgery – to note that a letter has been sent to Gen Kitchen M.P and the issue has been raised at a LAP meeting.
  5. Santa Pod questionnaires and contact forms – survey results.
  6. IT and Website – to report any issues.
  7. Emergency Plan review – to note that work has begun on a new plan.
  8. Commemorative nameplates – to consider details of the wording on each plaque.
  9. Signs for the Village Produce Show.
  10. Casual vacancy – to note the required procedures.

 

  1. Council services – to receive reports.
  2. Cemetery – general report.
  3. Cemetery – to receive an update on any outstanding maintenance works [extension to the Garden of Remembrance; additional access to the car park].
  4. Cemetery – to consider repairs to the surface of the access lane.
  5. Allotments – general report.
  6. Allotments – to receive an update on maintenance works [replacement plan for noticeboard].

 

  1. Local environment – to receive the following reports.
  2. Highways – including parking restrictions and speed reduction near the primary school and on Mile Street.
  3. Street Lights – to report/note any lights that are not working.
  4. Parish Paths Warden/Rights of Way – request for 40mph speed limit for the A509 Bozeat Bypass.
  5. Village Warden.
  6. St Mary’s Road – to consider measures to reduce dog fouling in the area.
  7. Village Green – to renewing the energy agreement with e-on Next for the electrical cabinet.

 

  1. Planning – to receive a report.
  2. Current/new planning applications.
  3. Solar Farm proposals – to receive reports from recent events.

 

  1. Representatives’ reports – to receive the following reports.
  2. Bozeat Playing Field Association.
  3. Bozeat Primary School.
  4. Police Liaison.
  5. Public transport.
  6. NNC parish and ward meetings.
  7. BEES Group – to approve the purchase of plants costing £570 + VAT.
  8. LAP meetings.

 

  1. Village Hall Working Party – to accept a report.

 

  1. Bleed kit/s and contents
    1. To consider adopting a bleed kit provided by Bozeat W.I. and agreeing to replace any contents used.
    2. To consider purchasing and installing a bleed kit at the Playing Field, subject to the agreement of BPFA.

 

  1. Provision of lockable bollard on Court Lane – to consider the purchase and installation of a lockable bollard on Court Lane to prevent vehicular access.

 

  1. Police – to receive reports.
  2. Crimes – to note any crimes that are notified to the council.

 

  1. Local events.
    1. 17-19th May 2024 – Annual Waendel Walk.
    2. 6th June 2024 – 80th anniversary of D-Day.
    3. 14th July 2024 – Summer Fete at the Playing Field, to incorporate a Meet The Village event.
    4. 17th August 2024 – Annual Produce Show.
    5. December 2024 – to agree a date to switch on the Christmas Tree lights.
    6. 16th December 2024 – 80th anniversary of the death of Lt John Ahern – commemorative event.

  2. Payments – to receive a report and to approve payments to be made this month.
  3. Credit/Debit card – to note that the debit card has been received.
  4. Audit of 2023-2024 accounts – to complete the Annual Governance Statement.
  5. Audit of 2023-2024 accounts – to approve the Accounting Statements.
  6. Audit of 2023-2024 accounts – to accept the Internal Auditor’s report.
  7. Insurance policy – to consider entering into a further multi-year agreement with Zurich Municipal, offering a reduced annual premium of £946.09.

 

  1. Correspondence – to acknowledge receipt of correspondence received since the last meeting.

    1. Audit of local council adopted policies and procedures.
    2. Thank You event for village volunteers.
    3. Cemetery – tree safety assessments.
    4. Cemetery – repairs to railings – to consider replacing sections with a new hedge.

  1. Date and time of next meeting – to note that the next meeting of Bozeat Parish Council will be held on Monday, 17th June 2024. The meeting will be held at TLC, Dychurch Lane, Bozeat and immediately following Public Participation.
