A MEETING OF BOZEAT PARISH COUNCIL WILL BE HELD ON MONDAY, 19th FEBRUARY 2024, FOLLOWING PUBLIC PARTICIPATION AT 7pm. 

THIS MEETING WILL BE HELD AT TLC, DYCHURCH LANE, BOZEAT.

A G E N D A

 

  1. To consider accepting apologies for absence.
  2. To record any new declarations of interest from members in items to be discussed.

 

  1. To approve the minutes from the Annual Finance meeting of Bozeat Parish Council held on 8th January 2024.

 

  1. To approve the minutes from the meeting of Bozeat Parish Council held on 15th January 2024.

 

  1. Matters arising from the previous meeting/s: –
  2. Circulating documents – to note the progress of any packs that are circulating.
  3. Training – to agree any training courses requested by members of the council and receive reports on any attended.
  4. List of council achievements – to consider where to display this on the website.
  5. Doctor’s surgery – to consider what further action can be taken.
  6. Santa Pod questionnaires and contact forms – survey results.
  7. IT and Website – to report any issues with the site.

 

  1. Council Services – to receive reports.
  2. Cemetery – general report.
  3. Cemetery – to receive an update on any outstanding maintenance works [extension to Garden of Remembrance].
  4. Cemetery – to consider repairs to the surface of the access lane and providing additional access to the car park.
  5. Cemetery – repairs to railings – to consider replacing sections with a new hedge.
  6. Cemetery – to consider providing memorial nameplates for two former members of Bozeat Parish Council [nameplates to be attached to the lodge]. Nameplates would cost £25 each [aluminium] or £40 [brass] including the engraving costs.
  7. Allotments – general report.
  8. Allotments – to receive an update on maintenance works [replacement plan for noticeboard].

 

  1. Local Environment – to receive the following reports.
  2. Highways – including parking restrictions and speed reduction near the primary school.
  3. Street Lights – to report/note any lights that are not working.
  4. Parish Paths Warden/Rights of Way – including consideration of measures to protect walkers crossing the A509 Bozeat Bypass.
  5. Village Warden.
  6. BEES Group.
  7. St Mary’s Road – to consider the purchase of a wildlife camera, costing around £80 in order to identify those allowing their dogs to foul this area.
  8. Village Green – to consider providing wildflower signs to protect areas.
  9. Planters – to agree to pay the annual grant to organisations/individuals who are looking after planters.

 

  1. Planning – to receive a report.
  2. Current/new planning applications.
  3. Name for the development on the former Nene Milling site.

 

  1. Representatives’ reports – to receive the following reports.
  2. Bozeat Playing Field Association.
  3. Bozeat Primary School.
  4. Police Liaison.
  5. Public transport.
  6. NNC parish and ward meetings.

 

  1. Grass Cutting and Grounds Maintenance Contracts from 1st April 2024.

  1. Village Hall Working Party – to accept a report.

 

  1. Police – to receive reports.
  2. Crimes – to note any crimes that are notified to the council.

 

  1. Local Events.
    1. To consider appointing an events manager for the annual Christmas Tree and lights event.
    2. Notifying North Northants Council of events – to note that any events where over 500 people are expected to attend must be notified.
    3. 17-19th May 2024 – Annual Waendel Walk.
    4. May 2024 – to consider holding an event on the Village Green, possibly to include a Meet The Village event.
    5. 6th June 2024 – 80th anniversary of D-Day.
    6. 14th July 2024 – Summer Fete at the Playing Field.
    7. August 2024 – Annual Produce Show.

 

  1. Emergency Plan Review.

  2. Payments – to receive a report and to approve payments to be made this month.
  3. Insurance – review of the council’s insurance cover.

 

  1. Correspondence – to acknowledge receipt of correspondence received since the last meeting.

    2. Thank You event for village volunteers.

    4. Cemetery – tree safety assessments.

  1. To receive any items for the next agenda.

 

  1. Date and time of next meeting – to note that the next meeting of Bozeat Parish Council will be held on Monday, 18th March 2024. The meeting will be held at TLC, Dychurch Lane, Bozeat and immediately follow the Annual Parish Meeting for Bozeat at 7pm and then Public Participation.
