A MEETING OF BOZEAT PARISH COUNCIL WILL BE HELD ON MONDAY, 21st FEBRUARY 2022, FOLLOWING PUBLIC PARTICIPATION AT 7pm. 

THIS MEETING WILL BE HELD AT TLC, DYCHURCH LANE, BOZEAT.

  1. To consider accepting apologies for absence.
  2. To record any new declarations of interest from members in items to be discussed.

 

  1. To approve the minutes from the Annual Finance Meeting of Bozeat Parish Council held on 10th January 2022.

 

  1. To approve the minutes from the meeting of Bozeat Parish Council held on 17th January 2022.

 

  1. Matters arising from the previous meeting/s: –
  2. Circulating documents – to note the progress of any packs that are circulating.
  3. Website migration – update on progress.
  4. Emergency Plan review – review and update of the Emergency Plan.
  5. Skate ramp – update on the resurfacing of the ramp [deferred until the Spring].
  6. Santa Pod – to consider how to resolve traffic issues.
  7. Laptop/software – purchase of new equipment.
  8. Training – play equipment inspection and new councillor training.
  9. Community assets – update on the application for the Red Lion to be included on the list of Community Assets.

 

  1. Council Services – to receive reports.
  2. Cemetery – general report.
  3. Cemetery – applications for permission to place memorials or headstones in the cemetery.
  4. Cemetery – to receive an update on maintenance works [purchase of noticeboards and signs; salt/grit container; war memorial cleaning].
  5. Cemetery – to consider investigating the compulsory purchase of land in order to extend the cemetery.
  6. Cemetery – to consider extending the Garden of Remembrance on section C.
  7. Cemetery – memorial inspections – to approve the adoption of a Memorial Safety Policy.
  8. Cemetery – tree and shrub trimming and assessments.
  9. Cemetery – grounds maintenance and caretaking contracts for 2022-2023 – to note that the contract with C.Chapman will end on 31st March 2023 and the contract with R & G will end on 31st March 2022.
  10. Allotments – general report.
  11. Allotments – to receive an update on maintenance works [cutting back the hedge fronting Allens Hill; replacement noticeboards].
  12. Allotments – to note that all rents have now been received.

 

  1. Local Environment – to receive the following reports.
  2. Highways – including parking restrictions.
  3. Highways – to consider proposals to introduce a limit of 20mph in areas indicated on a plan.
  4. Highways – to consider purchasing salt to top up grit bins managed by the Parish Council and also for use in the cemetery.
  5. Street Lights – to note any lights that are not working.
  6. Parish Paths Warden/Rights of Way.
  7. Village Warden.
  8. Verge mowing – to consider entering into a parish verge mowing contract with Northamptonshire Highways for the 2022-23 season.
  9. Land in St Mary’s Road – to consider requesting the transfer of ownership of the wide verge in St Mary’s Road to the parish council.
  10. Village Green – tree planting scheme, including the Plant A Tree for the Jubilee project.
  11. Climate Emergency and wildlife conservation area – to receive a report from the Working Party.

 

  1. Planning – to receive reports.
  2. Current/new planning applications.

 

  1. Representatives Reports – to receive the following reports.
  2. Bozeat Playing Field Association.
  3. Bozeat Primary School.
  4. JAG meetings.
  5. Police Liaison.
  6. Public transport.
  7. Ward meeting with NNC councillors [January 2022].
  8. NNC Parish Forum meetings – to note that the Parish Council has requested two items be added to the agenda.

 

  1. Police – to receive reports.
  2. Crimes – to note any crimes that are notified to the council.

 

  1. Local Events.
    1. 13-15 May 2022 – Waendel Walk weekend.
    2. 2-6 June 2022 – The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

 

  1. Parish Asset Mapping – to consider setting up a working party.

 

  1. Freedom of Information Act: Publications Scheme – to approve revisions to the Scheme.

 

  1. Finance
  2. Payments – to receive a report and sign off the bank reconciliation account, and to approve payments and any fund transfers to be made this month.
  3. Insurance – review and revaluation of items covered.
  4. Internal audit – to note that engagement documents have been signed.

 

  1. Correspondence – to acknowledge receipt of correspondence received since the last meeting.

 

  1. To receive any items for the next agenda.

 

  1. Date and time of next meeting – to note that the next meeting of Bozeat Parish Council is scheduled to take place on Monday, 21st March 2022 at TLC, Dychurch Lane, Bozeat and will be preceded by the Annual Parish Meeting for Bozeat at 7pm and then Public Participation.
