A MEETING OF BOZEAT PARISH COUNCIL WILL BE HELD ON MONDAY, 22nd APRIL 2024, IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING PUBLIC PARTICIPATION AT 7pm. 

THIS MEETING WILL BE HELD AT TLC, DYCHURCH LANE, BOZEAT.

  1. To consider accepting apologies for absence.
  2. To record any new declarations of interest from members in items to be discussed.

 

  1. To approve the minutes from the Annual Parish Meeting for Bozeat, held on 18th March 2024.

 

  1. To approve the minutes from the meeting of Bozeat Parish Council held on 18th March 2024.

 

  1. Matters arising from the previous meeting/s: –
  2. Circulating documents – to note the progress of any packs that are circulating.
  3. Training – to agree any training courses requested by members of the council and receive reports on any attended.
  4. Doctor’s surgery – to note that a letter has been sent to Gen Kitchen M.P and the issue has been raised at a LAP meeting.
  5. Santa Pod questionnaires and contact forms – survey results.
  6. IT and Website – to report any issues.
  7. Emergency Plan review – to note that work has begun on a new plan.
  8. Commemorative nameplates – to consider details of the wording on each plaque.
  9. Town Well Trust – reporting the Trust as dormant.
  10. Signs for the Village Produce Show.
  11. Email policy.
  12. Casual vacancy – to note the required procedures.
  13. Greatwell Homes visits – report from Cllrs Skittrall and Steel.
  • Damaged litter bin in Allens Hill – to note that a report has been submitted to NNC.

  2. Cemetery – general report.
  3. Cemetery – to receive an update on any outstanding maintenance works [extension to Garden of Remembrance].
  4. Cemetery – to consider repairs to the surface of the access lane and providing additional access to the car park.

  6. Allotments – to receive an update on maintenance works [replacement plan for noticeboard].

  2. Highways – including parking restrictions and speed reduction near the primary school and on Mile Street.
  3. Street Lights – to report/note any lights that are not working.
  4. Parish Paths Warden/Rights of Way – request for 40mph speed limit for the A509 Bozeat Bypass.
  5. Village Warden.
  6. St Mary’s Road – to consider measures to reduce dog fouling in the area.
  7. Village Green – to consider providing wildflower signs to protect areas and to consider renewing the energy agreement with e-on Next for the electrical cabinet.

  3. Solar Farm proposals – to receive reports from recent events.

    1. Appointment of events manager for the annual Christmas Tree event.
    2. 17-19th May 2024 – Annual Waendel Walk.
    3. 6th June 2024 – 80th anniversary of D-Day.
    4. 14th July 2024 – Summer Fete at the Playing Field, to incorporate a Meet The Village event.
    5. 17th August 2024 – Annual Produce Show.
    6. 16th December 2024 – 80th anniversary of the death of Lt John Ahern – commemorative event.

  2. Payments – to receive a report and to approve payments to be made this month.
  3. Credit/Debit card – to note that an application for a business debit card has been submitted to Lloyds Bank.
  4. Audit of 2023-2024 accounts – to note the required procedures.

 

  1. Correspondence – to acknowledge receipt of correspondence received since the last meeting.

    1. Audit of local council adopted policies and procedures.
    2. Thank You event for village volunteers.
    3. Cemetery – tree safety assessments.
    4. Cemetery – repairs to railings – to consider replacing sections with a new hedge.

  1. Date and time of next meeting – to note that the next meeting of Bozeat Parish Council will be the Annual Meeting, held on Monday, 20th May 2024. The meeting will be held at TLC, Dychurch Lane, Bozeat and immediately Public Participation.
