THE ANNUAL PARISH MEETING FOR BOZEAT WILL BE HELD ON

MONDAY, 20th MARCH 2023, THIS MEETING WILL BE HELD AT BOZEAT TLC, DYCHURCH LANE, BOZEAT AND WILL START AT 7pm.

1       Apologies – to consider accepting apologies for absence.

 

2       Minutes of the Annual Parish Meeting for 2022 – to note that these were approved and signed at the meeting of Bozeat Parish Council held in April 2022 [copy attached].

 

3       Matters Arising – none noted.

 

4       Town Well Trust.

  1. a) Trustees – to note that Mr Michael Pollard has served three years of his term of office and Mrs Lyndis Payne has served two years of her term of office. The Chairman of Bozeat Parish Council is an ex-officio Trustee.
  2. b) Finances – to note that Bozeat Parish Council has a designated budget for the maintenance of Town Well.

THE ANNUAL PARISH MEETING FOR BOZEAT WAS HELD AT 7pm ON

MONDAY, 20th MARCH 2023 AT BOZEAT TLC, DYCHURCH LANE, BOZEAT.

 

PRESENT: – members of Bozeat Parish Council – Brian Skittrall [Chairman]; David Brown; Dan Cooke; Roy Duckles; Brian Gibbins; Will Morris; Michael Pollard and Alison Pritchard.  No members of the public were present at the meeting.

 

1       Apologies.

It was resolved to accept apologies for absence received from the following members of Bozeat Parish Council – Margaret Docker, Paul Dudley-Smith and Stephen Foward.  Apologies were also received from North Northants Councillor Jon-Paul Carr.

 

2       Minutes of the Annual Parish Meeting for 2022.

It was noted that these were approved and signed at the meeting of Bozeat Parish Council held in April 2022.

 

3       Matters Arising.

No matters arising were noted.

 

4       Town Well Trust.

  1. a) Trustees – it was noted that Michael Pollard has served three years of his term of office and Lyndis Payne has served two years of her term of office. The Chairman of Bozeat Parish Council is an ex-officio Trustee.
  2. b) Finances – it was noted that Bozeat Parish Council has a designated budget for the maintenance of Town Well.

 

  1. Parish Council Achievements.

Cllr Skittrall provided a list of Parish Council achievements since the last Annual Parish Meeting.  A full list of achievements by Bozeat Parish Council is to be created.

 

Parish Council Achievements 2022-2023

  • Cemetery – Safety checks carried out in C & D sections, review green burial area.
  • Allotments – New gates and notice boards.
  • Village Green – Protected the green with trees and bollards.
  • BEES – Initial projects underway to trial bees & wildlife areas.
  • Highways – Persistence means the village is in better state of repair, secured £17,500 towards VDS signs at school.
  • IT – Commissioned new laptop, new website nearing completion, asset mapping project carried out with grant.
  • Events – Jubilee beacon event and picnic, worked with BPFA on summer fete, Christmas tree event
  • Accession – Operation London Bridge preparations made us ready, protocol followed for mourning & proclamation.
  • Governance – Adopted Civility & Respect protocol, added & publicised standing order to not respond to anonymous letters

 

There being no further business, the meeting was declared closed at 7.04pm
